About the series
What it is
VN are professional test cable assemblies for vector network analyzer ports: amplitude- and phase-stable, armored (resistant to torsion and crushing), with NMD connectors on the instrument side. They maintain their performance under changes in temperature, humidity, shock, vibration, mechanical tension and flexure.
Versions
- VN67: up to 67 GHz, VSWR 1.45, attenuation 328.5 dB/100 m.
- VN50: up to 50 GHz, attenuation 291.75 dB/100 m.
- VN40: up to 50 GHz in the 40 GHz version, VSWR 1.40, attenuation 234.8 dB/100 m.
- VN26: VSWR 1.30…1.35.
- Minimum bend radius 55 mm, diameter 14.3 mm; NMD 1.85 mm connectors (plug or socket) on the instrument side and 1.85 mm on the measurement side.
Where it is used
Vector network analyzer ports up to 67 GHz; measurements where the cable constantly moves together with the device under test.

Questions and answers
What is an NMD connector?
A ruggedized vector network analyzer port connector with a large coupling nut: the VN cable attaches to the instrument via NMD 1.85 mm, while a standard 1.85 mm is fitted on the measurement side.
What VN versions are available?
VN26, VN40, VN50 and VN67 — up to 26.5, 40, 50 and 67 GHz.
Why is the bend radius 55 mm?
The cable is armored and has a diameter of 14.3 mm for amplitude and phase stability during movement — the price for this is a larger bend radius.
