About the series
Overview
RT2-R, RT2-S and RT3 — an evolution of the RT2 connectors for VPX systems with the same P0–P6 / J0–J6 position layout and rear RP/RJ modules. The ordering table has a separate column per series for each position; some modules are common to all three series (single-ended modules, mixed rear-side modules), and RT3 has a P0 plug and a J0 receptacle rated for 25 Gbit/s. According to the manufacturer, the outer dimensions of the assemblies, the guides and the keys of all three series are the same as for RT2, and the connectors are compatible with existing VPX products.
How to select
First determine the series (by data rate and compatibility with existing boards), then, per the slot profile, a module for each position. Part numbers and pinouts are in the datasheet.
