About the series
Overview
Power connectors for VPX modules: plug on the power supply board, receptacle on the backplane. VITA 62 — six low-mating-force power contacts plus signal contacts, housing with good ventilation; VPXD — heavy-duty power connectors for VPX chassis with a greater number of power contacts.
VITA 62 specifications
Current rating of a high-power contact — 40 A, low-power — 20 A, signal — 1.5 A; contact resistance — max 0.7 mΩ, 1.5 mΩ and 15 mΩ respectively; test voltage of power contacts at least 2500 V; −55 to +125 °C; 500 mating cycles; UL94 V-0.
VPXD versions
For 3U: 2 low-power and 6 high-power contacts plus 32 signal contacts, or 17 high-power contacts plus 36 signal contacts — plug for the daughter card and receptacle for the backplane.
